But I agree . . . this board is a little, umm, sparse. I only just realized it was here, oops.
I'm in Memphis - haven't been to Nashville yet - but I've heard great things. Have you been there before or is this a whole new thing for you?
As for sprucing up the board - I think it just takes some posts!
I'm from Nashville...haven't gotten much out of the TN boards myself either. :( But hey, I'm getting married here in town in March '10! Maybe we can both figure stuff out in the area!
I'm new to weddingbee and had no idea this board was even here! I'm not engaged yet, so I hope you don't mind me hanging around :). I'm from East TN... exactly in the middle of Knoxville and Chattanooga. Anything else you want to know, just ask! :)
It's great to see other Nashville brides. My FI moved there last March and I'll be moving after graduation in May!! We're super exciting to be moving in together. I'd never been to nashville before last March, so I'm still trying to get a grip on their wedding industry.
I'm having trouble finding a reception location. I'm from DC so I'm used to hundreds of options. Maybe having less options will make me less stressed- we'll see about that one.
Over the past year I've created a pretty extensive spreadsheet of Nashville photographers. Let me know if you want it! I'm trying to work on some more vendor spreadsheets to post for the hive, and maybe on the knot.
PS- Did you see we got a Nashville board on The Knot?

I am sort of new to the board and would love to jump in and contribute! I am a Nashville bride, getting married on April 17, 2010. Our ceremony is at Benton Chapel and reception at Country Music Hall of Fame. I got engaged in March!

Thanks! I did find a wedding review online, and it looks great, except for its on the third floor with no elevator. I don't think it's worth it if I have to have our older, wheelchair-bound guests be carried up there :(
Oh goodness no! Do they have perhaps a service elevator that is utilized by staff? I thought it was illegal to have an area that wasn't handicap accessible?
I recently returned from Nashville and I LOVED it, although I was NOT expecting the streets to be so hilly. After a few drinks, not fun walking up a hill in the pouring rain but despite that, I really enjoyed my trip there. And the food was incredible.
crebre80, I think since it's a very old building and has not been substantially redone, it does not have to be ADA accessible.

Hey ladies! I'm currently in NC, but moving to Nashville in May. We're planning our wedding in Nashville for may/june 2010.
What can we do to spruce up these boards?
Does anyone use The Knot TN board? It seems to be kind of catty...thoughts?
