Not as big as our ceremony site burning down but here is was my latest thing. I was told we are only allowed to use certain ceremony chairs for the venue we have (this was not in the contract I signed) they ended up being $4.55 A CHAIR. (we budgeted for 2/a chair) our ceremony is going to last 15 – 20 minutes tops and noone remembers what chair that sat in at a wedding. I finally decided to order white folding chairs for $1.10 a chair and told my venue if she has a problem with it we will move our ceremony somewhere else. I won.

There was a wedding around where I live that the reception hall burnt down the night before their wedding – with everything  in it. Decorations, cake, drinks, etc. They found another hall that wasn’t being used and held it there with minimal decorations, a last minute, homemade cake, and whatever liquor was on hand. The new hall didn’t charge them anything and everyone pitched in. I can’t imagine going through that. Best wishes to you!

My makeup artist pulled put the week before due to family illness but I managed to find a better one to do all our makeup. We had to get new suits to hire for all the boys the week before after the original ones were not coming up to scratch. They were sooooo much better too! our bouquets were all wrong the day of the wedding when we went to pick them up – they managed to somewhat fix them. Not exactly what I wanted but 10 times  better than the hot mess I originally saw. Hope your ceremonly back up,plan works out ok!
