My FI and I plan on mailing our save the dates this coming March, but we didn’t want to be wearing sweaters in the photos. That means we needed to take them now. We decided to do them this past weekend.
We did everything ourselves, and I’m so excited that I just had to share with SOMEONE since I don’t want to spoil it for any of our guests. I’ll post the pictures then explain a little about them. These aren’t the final card we’re mailing, just the photos themselves.
I’d seen something similar to this before, but the couple used regular paint and brushes. My FI paints amazing pictures using spray paint, so we felt that route was a little more fun and a little more us. Being the talented man he is, my FI built the wall for us so we didn’t have to go vandalize a random building. We took the photos ourselves, then I edited them. I’m so, so, SO happy with how they turned out, and now I can’t wait until March for our guests to see them!
What do you think ladies? Any opinions?

Super creative and fun idea! Turned out really great!
The colour of your dress is also great for this.

@lorelai: Thanks so much! I wore it mostly because I wanted to wear the shoes, haha.

@stephanie091512: Thank you! It’s a 5×7 card. One side is going to have a little collage of us painting [like, 4 pictures], and the other will be full size of the very last one.
@cirk: Thanks! the shoes actually have polka dots all over them, you just can’t see it here.

@lookingglass: @icetea: @elysion: @MrsWilson2012: Thank you all so much! It really took us a lot of work, so it’s nice to know people like them.
@Ivorybuttons: I actually don’t think I have any photos of his paintings! I really should. I have one upstairs that I can get a photo of really quick, though.
