The big moment finally came for my grand entrance when the double door opened up. There was one slight problem that made me holt in my taking that first step. He was not playing my entrance song but our recessional song!!! I was standing there with my guest ewwww and awwwwin at me!!!
My wedding planner was arguing back and forth for this dude to play the song that she listed on the wedding day schedule (DH and I also filled out his wedding day form with the same info.)
I was sooooooo blown by this and had to quickly recover and smile again to make my way down the aisle to my handsome groom. Then this guy spent the rest of the evening calling me by the wrong name during the reception.
Any other bees experience this?

Ugh that is so frustrating! Sorry!!! Thankfully though none of your guests will be wise to what happened.
On our big day while starting out down the aisle I thought for a moment that our DJ was playing the wrong song for me but quickly let it come. When we watched the wedding video I realized that I was right. My BMs walked down to my song and I walked down to a song I had original chosen nearly a year before. I’m not sure why the DJ ignored our numerous updates but yeah it irks me a bit.

Our entrance to our reception song wasn’t one I really liked, and asked to be on the do not play list, but it didn’t ruin my life.

That stinks, but good thing you just let it go and didn’t let it ruin your day. 🙂
Lots of things (big or small) go wrong on the day-of no matter how carefully planned it all is. As far as AV issues, our recessional song didn’t start until we were halfway down the aisle because the guy wasn’t paying attention and then the mic stopped working so BIL had to essentially yell to get everyone’s attention during the reception.

The enterence song isn’t too much of an issue as long as it was still a song you had picked.
Calling you by the wrong name is not on!!! I hope you got an apologie!

@Treejewel19: Yeah that’s crazy but way to be a good sport!!! I just truly dislike paying for a service or professionalism and not getting it. I just don’t understand why one can’t follow provided written instructions but hey it was a lovely day anyway!!!

@StuporDuck: Did you guys pick something specific for your DJ to play? LoL but honestly after all the serious stuff is over (i.e. ceremony) it’s time to party!!!

@lisha_1988: Our DJ found himself apologizing all evening long for playing wrong songs, not reading the crowd well, wrong names, and bad name pronunciations even with provided phonetic spellings. DH said it was obivious that this man didn’t bother to prepare prior to our wedding. Instead of that I think some money back would have been better.
