What do you think?
We are contemplating using this photographer for our wedding as well. Need opinions!! 🙂 She’s a good friend of mine and will shoot the wedding for $200. So it sounds pretty good to me. BUt i want to know what strangers think 🙂

A lot of the pictures don’t seem to have a very sharp focus. There also is not a lot of different poses. And some of them seem a little awkward.
But $200 is a very cheap price. I do find generally with something like photography you somewhat get what you pay for.
It will really come down to what your eye tells you. If you think these are the type of photos that you want your wedding pictures to be, then go for it. But if you think you will be disappointed, then maybe keep looking.
Also keep in mind the potential for friendship upset if you don’t end up liking them, since she is a good friend.

she didnt give us much direction.. so we used the same poses a lot. We shouldve looked up some ideas or something. They aren’t sharp because they are saved from facebook ( i think thats the reason). We’re awkward people haha. Thank you though. We don’t have $2k to drop on a photographer… so it’s touchy.

I think they’re lovely and for what she is going to charge you really worth the money – though I would say if you’re not 110% sure then wait before booking, your wedding photos are something you’re going to look back on an cherish forever.

I like the pics. How many would you get for $200?
I’d definitely have a list of poses you like – it’s hard to think of things at the time.

@GroovyHippieChick: I agree about the list of poses. I think that would be a huge help.
I think they are good, and they’re great for $200.

Love the pictures but as others said, make sure you have a complete list of pictures you want to get so nothing is forgotten.

I think they’re adorable! You two are such a cute couple. I think the overall composition of the photos is really good, too. As PPs have suggested, get some ideas of photos you like and send them to your friend. And I know how you feel about being awkward people 🙂 My Fiance and I are SUPER awkward. We’re having our e-pics taken on Saturday and I’m really nervous it’s going to show through the pics. I think we may need a cocktail or two beforehand 🙂 I don’t think you guys look awkward, though! I think the photos are lovely.

I love the pics. I think the composition and posing are totally cute and perfect.

The photos are really nice, especially for $200. My issue is that she’s not giving you any direction, when she really should be. Is she a pro?

she didnt charge us anything for the Epic shoot, but we gave her gas money and a $40 tip anyway. As for the wedding, i adore her style. A list of shots would be ideal. Yes, okay.. we’ve gotta start making that list. OH another list. 🙂
thanks guys. i really appreciate it. I want to have our cheap photographer and get good pics too. I want it to work, but im trying not to be blinded by the discount.

@GroovyHippieChick: All of them! our agreement is that she can have the right to them all, if i get them all. She’s trying to grow her portfolio. 🙂 so anywhere from 200-500 🙂

The pictures are pretty but I would be worried if she has ever shot a wedding before. You don’t really have a lot of staging for the ceremony. If she doesn’t get the shot then she doesn’t get it theres not really a redo. It all comes down to are you comfortable with her doing your wedding? Your epics are really pretty and I love the color composition.

@vorpalette: she just graduated from the Antonelli Art & photography institute in PA. She’s shot 2 weddings so far. 1 as a 3rd shooter, and 1 as a professional. So she’s still starting out.
