So, we ended up doing our engagement pictures ourselves. I’m a pro photographer, and while it was really difficult to get the shots I wanted being in FRONT of the camera, I’m really pleased with how they turned out, and that we decided to save the money and do them ourselves. We just took our time, made sure that the lighting and settings were right, and enjoyed the time spent together. The only shot I wish I had’ve thought to get is the picture with both our hands and my ring. But oh well, I do have some beautiful photos of my ring anyway.
That said, here’s a few of my favorites!
And, this one was from an attempt at an engagement photoshoot before the ones we did ourselves, letting my aspiring photographer brother give it a shot.

Thanks, we were really happy with how it turned out. We used my 50mm f. 1/4 for most of the shots, and I used a bit of the money we would’ve used hiring someone, to buy a remote for my camera. I was able to do that though, because I could write it off as a business expense.

Wendy: Thanks! That seems to be the favorite among our family.
MissAsB: Always nice to hear! 🙂 I’ve been working as a professional photographer for about three years and I LOVE it.
