I saw another bee posting her new home, and I decided I wanted to share too 🙂
We are officially closing June 29th. Loan fully approved, etc.
it has 3 bedroom, 3 bath, master suite, 2 car garage… I guess that’s it 🙂
Non-existent Baby Bedroom #1: will become an office for now.
And our Deck:
Yiippppyyyyyy!!!! I cannot wait 🙂
–> the furniture isn’t ours…
Our first project: Yard!
- Take out that red mulch (bleh)
- Assess the soil and see how we can grow healthy green yard (any opinions welcomed)
- Power wash front facade
- Cut the tree that blocks the view of the house. (It looks like we live in a garage, no?)

I think it is a cute house! I remember the excitement of buying our first home.
I wouldn’t cut down the tree- it is very pretty.I also think it’s a good idea to live in the house for a while to see if it might be providing much needed shade, or pretty flowers or leaves in season.
I’m with you on the mulch- it also is a home for many insects.
The color of the garage door is what is emphasizing it in the pics. Paint the garage door a color that will blend with the brick and it will no longer be the focus of the front of the house.
I can’t see whether the front door is stained wood or not, but there is an opportunity to paint it a color that will pop and stand out as the entrance to your home.

Love it! I agree with @julies1949:, I wouldn’t cut the tree down either! It’s really pretty and maybe you’ll end up liking it!

I wouldn’t cut the tree down. It helps with the curb appeal. I personally love it.

I also love the tree!
What a pretty house!!! The kitchen is awesome, and that deck! If you guys don’t already barbeque, it is time to start 🙂 Congrats!!!

aw I wouldn’t cut down the tree, I’d trim it but I think its pretty

Very nice! I love the deck and it looks like you won’t have to do much in the way of painting (other than the kids room / will-be office).
I definitely would NOT cut down that tree! I love the look of trees in the front yard! I think it woud take away from the curb appeal to remove it.

Really cute house! I’m also on the bandwagon of don’t do anything with that tree.

Gorgeous house!! And you close on my birthday! Congratulations on this big milestone.
P.S. I agree not to cut down the tree 🙂

I like the idea of a front door change! I am a firm believer that an interesting front door, some yard work and a good wash can give a home an I stand face lift. Beautiful house– and I love the deck!!

- Wedding: August 2013 - An amazing non-profit retreat
no no no don’t cut the tree down!!
haha ok, I will reconsider cutting that tree, but there are two other trees (bigger ones) in the front yard as well, so it still wouldn’t be “naked”..
Yes, the garage door is a Spring 2013 project, I want to replace it. Something like this/in this style:

@star_dust: Haha My birthday is the next day. I figured a house for a B-day gift isn’t bad 😉
