We signed at the second venue we looked at! :) Sometimes you just know!
We booked with the first place we looked, but we did look at a LOT of other venues before going back. When I knew, I just KNEW! :)
We're booking our 2nd venue that we looked at in that area (Dallas). We decided not to have our wedding in our hometown (too expensive). We got a pretty good deal and I feel very confident with the people at the venue handling our day. Its an all inclusive venue so its kind of like a wedding planner included. They set everything up and decorate. We just tell them what our wedding colors are and what we want on the menu and the type of music we want the DJ to play. We are very happy its within our price range. We're going back to Dallas this Sat to put a deposit down on the venue and reserve our date!!! So excited that Im slowly but surely starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
We booked the one and only place we looked at. We were extremely restricted by a budget and we both have very contemporary taste, so since this place was perfectly within the budget and had a great style, we booked it! :)
My FI and I looked at a lot of venues online, but we only got the chance to look at one in person. There wasn't any pictures of the particular room we were wanting on the website (but the description and pricing were EXACTLY what we were looking for, a large auditorium hall in a nearby community center) so we went by there one day in the evening and started looking around the building until we found someone to take us to the room we were wanting to rent. The second we walked into the auditorium room FI turned to me and said "We don't have to look anywhere else, do we?"
Sometimes you just know! My location will be the first I looked at in person, it is everything I wanted!

FI went to look at a few venues this weekend and it was our first official step in the planning process! We're both soooo excited! We loved one and hated one - the first one has set a pretty high bar! It was all I could do NOT to sign right then and there! lol
Did anyone else get tempted by one of their first venues only to find something better later?
