We are just under 2 months from the wedding, and invites officially went out last week. Today, I came home to 2 boxes from REI (where we registered)! We now have a super sweet 6QT Dutch Oven and a new camping water bowl for our puppy!! It was gifted from my coworker, too, which is really sweet of her 🙂
I’m going to write her a Thank You note tonight and take it to her tomorrow.
Do I need to wait until the wedding to use it? We’re going camping this weekend, and I’d love to cook in the dutch oven 😀

I waited for just about everything, since it made the marriage / move / settling in more exciting. But I did break into the new pots and pans for necessity, and the food processor for fun!

Oh shoot, I chose of course without noticing whatevs. I say use it, lol. But, we’re saving ours because we don’t live together yet. So all of our stuff is packed up in boxes and ready to move after the wedding. It’s all chillin’ at my house.

You know, this is going to sound awful, but I wouldn’t simply because you don’t know what will happen between now and the wedding and you may have to send them back. (i know, awful)

I think you should wait until you are married. As @WillyNilly: said, as terrible as it sounds, you don’t know what will happen between now and your wedding date. And since the gifts are meant for you as a couple to use for your married life, if something happens and you don’t have the wedding, you may have to return the gift. =(
