Weddingbee boards

I'm super excited to be almost done planning our honeymoon to Greece in September and I wanted to share our hotel choices with those of you who are thinking of going, or those who may have been and have any tips to share! I consulted Trip Advisor to book all of these hotels.

We're flying through Madrid on the way there and back, and the layovers are fairly long (6-8 hours), so we're going to take the subway into Madrid for a meal and some quick sightseeing.

Upon our late night arrival into Athens, we're checking into the Royal Olympic Hotel in the Acropolis neighborhood for two nights. Then we're taking a high speed ferry to Naxos where we'll be staying two nights at Nissaki Beach Hotel in St. George Beach, a ten minute walk into Naxos Town.

After Naxos, we're taking another high speed ferry to Santorini and spending three nights at the Mill Houses in Firostefani, a smaller quieter section of the main town Fira. Then we're flying back to Athens and checking into the Airotel Parthenon for another two nights before flying back to DC!

Has anyone stayed at any of the above hotels? Any recommendations for must-see places or restaurants to try in Madrid, Athens, Naxos, or Santorini?

When in Athens, you should definitely check out the Flea Market/Monastiraki! Its right near the Acropolis and you can find all sorts of fun things:-) Have a great trip!!!

Thank you so much! Our hotel in Santorini has Caldera views so I'm really looking forward to that. I love Flea Markets too so will definitely check that out.
