We just returned from Italy last night where I proposed. I went with no plan, just a ring in my bag thinking I would know what the time was right. I proposed in Florence at the Piazza de Michelango. She thought it was the most beautiful spot in the world, so I wanted to do it there. The only problem was that it was too crowded for me! I saw a small trail and led in there, thankfully the trail led us to a small secluded garden!
This is at the top of the Piazza, with the city of Florence behind us.
She was surprised when I gave her the ring. When we had our last coversation about marriage I told her it would be at least one more year as I wanted to save up more money.
She kept saying “this isn’t happening right now” and I assured her it was! Then she gave me a huge smile and said YES!
Thankfully, the ring fit! I didn’t want to have to carry it around in my bag anymore. I was so afraid of losing it!
We were with our friends Anthony and Melissa, they bought us small bottles of wine to celebrate.
Now it’s time to start planning!

So I totally thought she said “whaaat?” because you proposed in Italian and she didn’t understand haahaha! But it just turns out you’re sneaky about the timeline! Congrats!

@jumpthegun: She said “whaaaat” when she saw me getting down on one knee! Then after that was when she kept saying “this isn’t happening right now”! So she finally got quiet and I was able to ask her to marry me!

I knew she was going to say something silly! Three years ago when I first told her I loved her her resonse was “you can’t say [email protected] like that to me”! Then later that evening she told me she loved me too.
