Hi Bees!!

It's been a long time since visiting the Bee and I finally have a chance to share our professional pics from our wedding day. I know there's always something that has to go wrong on your wedding day and mine was a doozy.

My grandfather who was to officiate and walk me down the aisle was hospitalized the morning of our big day. He had been feeling terrible pain in his legs and neglected to tell us he was feeling so badly the week before. He was in so much pain he had barely eaten or drank and was too weak to get up. So that morning he was rushed into the ER. I had no clue who would then officiate or who would walk me down. I was heartbroken and needless to say the beginning of our day was off to a very bad start. I was already exhausted having only slept for 4 hours or so (I stayed up the entire night finishing my DIY flowers, mixing up our special drinks, and creating a few last minute reception pieces) and hearing about my gramps sent me over the edge with tears. I pulled myself together and we headed to the hotel hoping for the best.

Our wedding was to start at 5:30 and at 3:00 I received the best phonecall ever. My grandfather was being discharged from the hospital and would be able to officiate and walk me down the aisle. The hospital staff had learned it was his grandaughters wedding day and did everything in their power to get him out of there as quickly as possible. He did walk me down the aisle and marry us and it was all I could have asked for. Aside from a few other mishaps (marriage talk papers flying in the wind and the DJ playing the wrong songs a couple of times) our wedding day went as smooth as could be. It was a beautiful and happy day for us. I didn't get to finish as many DIY projects as I had planned and I didn't lose as much weight as I wanted to, but our wedding was a day of celebration and love and that's all that matters :)

He is now out of the hospital and at home but his recovery will be a long one. They could use all the good thoughts and prayers possible.
