We are buying/building our first home and spent 2 1/2 hours with the kitchen designer last night. I am so excited, I put together a mood board of our ideas and what we have picked so far.  Flooring is up next so I'm not sure what we are going with.

jealous.. our kitchen is so small with NO counter space... Get something versitle.. where you can change the wall color and seemingly change the whole space.  Good luck!

Cute!  What's the stool for?  And what is the black swatch for?

Bella the black swatch is our counter top. It looks way better in person than the swatch available on line.  And the stools are for our "Island"...it will have a bar height counter.

Very cool!  I always wanted an island that could have bar stools with it.

What is the counter made out of?  It looks like granite maybe?

Unfortunately the counter will not be granite yet...but it's a laminate that is High Def and higher quality. Plus it's sealed a bit different so that it lasts longer and has a special coating so that it retains the new look. I personally LOVE it!!

@WDWBride-   Do you know how much per sq foot your HD laminate was? We want to replace our countertops but the neighborhood value won't support granite (know what I mean?) and we don't want to sink that much money into it. Our friends have laminate that looks like granite and it's really nice. I'd appreciate any info you can give! :)

This looks awesome! I think a lot of the things I've learned planning the wedding (putting together inspiration boards, color palates, etc) will really help as I start decorating our home!

I'm not sure since we are doing a new build.  We upgraded from what came standard and it was about $350 more...but I also think we get a pretty heft discount being that we are a new build and not just a regular customer, ya know?

Our home renovation/decoration blog has few followers... mostly family and friends, but it is fun to share the projects we've been working on and to store inspiration. It's also nice to be able to easily look back at all that we've done in the short few months we've been here!

Oh I don't know where I got that picture! I just remember it looked like I was picturing...but cost a fortune, lol. So I didn't save the website! If I come across it again I will post it.

A lot of my stuff is red...I am thinking of using red as an accent...so those lights might change a bit!

I am working on setting up a new house blog...stay tuned!
