So I saw a picture in the hive of a Lego cake topper a few months ago. I showed it to my fiance and he LOVED it. He is an engineer and I am a kindergarten teacher. A friend of mine once said, "If the groom gets excited about a wedding decor detail, go with it. No matter how silly it is." So we have. We built it according to the ocean terrace we will be married on and the trellis we will be under. Here are pics of our cake topper and our ceremony site.

I think it's adorable, and it's even better since it makes sense with both of your careers too. I think its perfect, but if you're really concerned about going too silly, you can use it at your rehearsal dinner. (My SIL surprised us with a sock monkey grooms cake, and it was incredible!)

Yes my fiance went onto Lego Online Design Builder and made the trellis and I went on ebay to find the right figurines and hot glued a flower in the girls hair to make her like me. Thanks girls for the input. I love it but I sometimes wonder what other people will think.
