Mr Cee and I did not want to spend a fortune on invitations. We wanted something nice, something that matched our theme, and something that wouldn’t break the bank.
We found very cute invitations, rsvp cards, and save-the-dates (which I super-customized into Thank You cards instead! Go me! Does that count as DIY?) that fit the bill totally. Score!
The price was more than right – they do bulk pricing, so since we ordered 95 invitations/rsvps and 100 thank yous, we got an excellent deal – nearly 50% off.
Here is what we picked (not ours, just the example from the site):
So basically we took the save-the-date, changed all the wording so that it just says “Thank You” at the top (in the same fancy writing) and our names at the very bottom – the rest is blank. Rather ingenius, if I may say so. We managed to do all of this under our budget by about $200, which was fantastic.
I was/am a bit nervous about doing them through an online set-up, instead of meeting with a person, but 1) we were already late in organizing them and 2) we hadn’t seen anything else we’d liked/could afford in other stores 3) we really liked these birds, so why not?
They will arrive within the next couple of weeks (yes, I know – LATE lol ugh) and I can’t wait to see them!
Bees – if you’re worried about doing invitations on a budget, zazzle.ca might be a good place to check for options. You never know! I will update when they arrive, incase they are awful or incase they are breathtaking.
