Hello my lovelies =]
So, as most girls so; I have been dreaming of my wedding since I was in the womb, I’ve been obsessed with getting married for years and years and years!! I’ve planned everything down to the last grain of salt on the canapés… BUT we keep having to put it off, and it’s so disheartening. From looking after family members, moving house, work etc.. Things just keep popping up. I’ve cried so many tears over this one day that is supposed to be so glorious and happy, and I don’t want to feel like this anymore.
My partner is currently undergoing a redundancy process at the moment and will be finishing work in about 2-3- weeks. We were planning to go to Thailand for a holiday to get away from everything here for about 2 weeks anyway, and with all the hassles of putting the wedding off for different reasons we have decided to just elope! I’ve spoken to my travel agent and shes putting together a package with the resort that we’re staying at in Koh Samui. for the first time in months, I’m so beyond ecstatic! It’s all happening!! Now I just need to find a dress ASAP as we want to go in the first 2 weeks in May. It’s all last minute but I just feels so right. I’m not sure if we will be telling anyone in the family yet TBH, a few of the girls I work with already know but other than that I haven’t told anyone yet.
So I really need to get my thinking cap on and my exercise shoes!!!!! I want to drop a few kilos before we jet off, but nothing too extreme, as it’s such a short time to lose a huge amount.
Who else planned their elopement last minute or in a short time frame?
And where oh where do I find a last minute dress ?!! arrggghh

Hi there! I planned my destination wedding in 15 days! However, we drove to Canada (it was 15 hours to get there). We narrowed our choices down to somewhere we could drive because plane tickets would be very expensive at last minute.
I had about 5 dresses in my house already (so I just had to choose, and sell the rest). I did have to figure out my shoes, hair, jewelry, etc.
We did have to get a suit for H and his ring.
We had a wedding planner come with the elopement package so the little details were taken care of (officiant, flowers, location).
I booked the photographer and she was free on a Tuesday luckily!
For quick dresses, I would try online places that have a return policy. Just but a bunch of them and then return what you don’t use!

Panda_pue: What style dress are you looking for? Most department stores (Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, etc) have long and short dresses in whites and ivories. You may also be able to find a white prom dress or similar.

No its not a vintage.. New and they come =] Quite funny actually.. When the lady at the shop ordered it from the warehouse she said over the phone: If anyone touches this I’ll cut their fingers off as a joke…. When I picked it up from the shop, they girls in the warehouse had put an actual note of it saying: No one touch this dress or Suzie from Windsor & Lux will cut your fingers off hehe… Pretty funny =]
