We are not going to be able to take a long honeymoon in Dec, due to our work schedules, so we had booked a local hotel for the weekend. It's a nice one, and we were going to enjoy our weekend together before work again on Monday.... then last week, he tells me that his boss had told him that he might have to work on Sat the 5th, which is the next day, because the boss is going to be out of town. His boss is going to try to get one of the fill-in people to come in that day, but if she won't he has to work :(  That was last week, and the boss still hasn't let us know if he does/doesn't have to work. It's irritating me.

    Kind of sucks.

EW. What? He's going to make him come in the day after your wedding? What an ass. I hope he can get someone else to do it! Fingers crossed for you guys.

what does he do?  I'm sure he requested off ages ago. That's not very nice or fair, to take away the WEEKEND of the wedding, not even counting the week.

That's no fun.  I hope they can work it out so you can get at least a little break before going back to work.

He is in retail, and yes, his boss has known about our wedding date since the summer! He has had plenty of time to figure out another alternative but apparently he didn't care enough to try or something I don't know...

Of course, FH is very laid back, and no he doesn't like it either, but he's not as irritated as I am.. He's more of the mindset of "we can book the next weekend" or something like that, but it's not the same :(
