We are writing our own vows, but because our wedding is so far away, we just have ideas of what we are going to say. I think our own vows are more personal! Yours sound amazing!!!
Thank you! I love that they are both different, because they each reflect ourselves and our love for the other. Fi wants to do them right after the traditional ones.
They sound great! I like the idea of writing our own vows... but I'm not sure yet :) Seems a bit overwhelming.
So beautiful, congratulations on completing them! We are writing our entire ceremony, including vows, and it's daunting, but like you said, I bet it is going to feel incredibly meaningful and so worth it.
we are writing our our ceremony and vows- I think it might be my most favorite part of the planning.
So beautiful. We are writing our own vows as well. You both did a great job! :)

We are having both the traditional vows and personal ones we wrote to each other.
I thought I would share what we wrote together today in case it helps anyone else out!
His:
[My name], on this day I pledge myself completely to you, forsaking all others. I pledge to remain honest, true, and only act in love towards you. I will shelter you from harm, and always forgive you, without reservation.
I want to share all that is to come, and the fullness of life with you. I know this is a long and oftentimes difficult journey we are starting together, but I will stay walking with you for as long as we shall live.
I am given hope in this by the beauty of your spirit, your forgiveness and the depth of your love. I have faith that with these, and the influence of the Holy Spirit working within us, there is nothing in this world that can truly come between us.
I am thankful to have met you, pursued you, and won you over. The thought of life with you fills me with joy. You have won me over totally, and I am yours from this day forward.
Mine:
[His name], I will stand by you throughout the seasons of our lives. I will be there with you when we are newlyweds, as we become homeowners, and parents. I will be beside you as our children leave home, and as we become grandparents, and grow old and frail. I will be your wife, the mother of your children, and a faithful friend for life.
I know that you are not perfect, but I love you all the more for knowing and understanding your weaknesses, hopes and fears. I love you for seeing mine and simultaneously loving me as I am and helping me become the woman God made me to be. It is the hard times that will shape our marriage, and I promise to work through them with you and be the best wife that I can be.
[His name], you are my friend and (almost) husband, my clown and my hero. I love you, and I am yours.
It was so touching writing them together; we both got a bit teary! Is anyone else writing their own? What do yours say?
