Wow thank you so much for posting!

I’ve only been to 2 weddings in my life (both secular) and I want to make the most out of my ceremony.  I want to have readings and vows, but I’m not sure when they are supposed to be given and by whom.  Obviously the vows are read by the bride and room (after the readings? Before?) but are the readings supposed to be read by the bridal party?

Some readings I’ve seen speak of love from a first person perspective, as if it should be read by the bride or groom. That’s what confuses me.

I wrote my whole ceremony and it was so worth it.  People can tell when you put yourself into the ceremony.
