The STD/Wedding invitations I spent weeks designing have finally arrive. Oh, you better believe there is a story to follow.
I’m a pretty crafty gal, so I knew what I wanted…HOW I was going to make that happen was another Oprah, but I made it happen.
We opted to go a bit “green” and minimize on the amount of paper we were going to use: A WEDDING website it was, for all the wedding details including RSVPs & our registry….so, we combined our Save-The-Date Cards and Invitations together.
Had to teach myself CS5 on a Mac (Mac newbie, labtop btw) so, you can imagine I did things the hard way. Ended up with about 40 plus layers after designing but I’m a perfectionist and ended up VERY happy with the end result I was pretty nervous to send my image off to a lab, unsure of their print quality, was all my hard word going to be printed on a printer that wasn’t calibrated, how much is this going to cost me?! Found a deal on LivingSocial and rode with it. My total for 135 invitation was $120.00 (breakdown, $0.89ea), did I mention that INCLUDED (my choice of IVORY) envelopes?! YUP! I am very pleased with the printed results as they are as true as my photoshop view, amazing to see something I worked so hard on in my own two hands. Simplytoimpress.com was the company who did the printing for us. Here’s some photos to share, enjoy!
now working on wax seals for the envelopes:)
What do you think? 🙂
