Did you pay your stationery provider to do the custom calligraphy? Or was that done elsewhere?
@miss pino - i totally agree with the invitations comment! i thought of that too when we were choosing our options for the STD!
the calligraphy was done by the girl who did the design. we were planning on using Jennifer to do our invitations, but im super pleased with how our STD envelopes came out, that i think i may just use them. on a side note, she mentioned that the envelope she photographed was an "oops" (california didnt fit on the envelope :)

eeeeeeeekk! Im so excited to finally have these out (they acutally went out last week, im just now getting the pictures up!) our designer put pics up on her blog, so i stole those ones - they're far better than the ones i took!
ok, so heres the skinny: dark blue envelopes, white calligraphy (LOVE!). they already offered an evelope liner that matched, and we had her add our monogram to it (I LOVE liners! they are such an unexptected little detail of lovelyness!)
the actual STD was wrapped in printed velum with our matching monogram (I wasnt so sure about this when she first suggested it. velum reminds me of ugly, 80's overlays, but Im totally loving the way it turned out). the velum was wrapped around the STD like a sleve and then wrapped in thread and tied in a little knot (so cute!) the STD itself is double mounted on two shades of blue. I totally love the way they turned out!
