@Missels: Wow!!! That is so amazing!! I've never seen anything like it. So adorable!!
WOW! That was so cute! I'm not familiar with stop motion. I get how it works with animation (or at least I think I do. Pose the character, take a pic, new pose, new pic, etc?), but for live people was it the same thing? Or was it continuous video that was then edited?
wow thanks guys, what positive feedback! We actually got an art student to do it for us as it was much cheaper than the 1 company we could find here in SA, plus we know very little about photography!
@jumpthegun - there are programs that use a stop motion effect on a video, but it doesn't come out as authentic as the real deal. The photographer took a series of photos, and we had to move only slightly in each frame, almost in slow motion and could only move once he gave the go-ahead. Once u have all your photos, I know that u can run it thru imovie or windows movie maker. It was so much fun making it! Some couples make it themselves, but I rate u would need a camera that closes its shutter faster! thanks all!
That is amazing. If this sets the tone for your wedding, I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
That is the best thing I have seen in a LONG TIME, congratulations guys!

Hi everyone,
My Fi and I decided to do a stop motion save the date as our wedding was booked for a weekend surrounding loads of public holidays and we were afraid that people would go away, but we didn't want to go thru the hassel of sending out paper save the dates and then having to send out formal invitations again!
Here is the final product: http://youtu.be/YklsiyaQDcw
It took 5 hours to shoot and we did it at our university since it had symbolic meaning for us, because that's where we met and studied all the way to postgrad!
Once it was completed, we just pasted the link into an email and kindly asked everyone to click on it! It was a big hit with our guests who flipped out, and got really excited. We're really pleased with the outcome, and now have something to remember this period in our lives forever!
