Oh my!  I’m so sorry.  I know how disappointed you must be.  I had a garden wedding planned on what the Farmer’s Almanac had listed as historically the driest weekend of the year…enter the “500 hundred year flood of 2009”.  Streets closed, monsoon rains, power outages.  Of course we got the natural disaster jokes (if they only knew about the tsunami warnings during the honeymoon in Hawaii :P) and those who would attempt to do appease us with the “at least it’s memorable”, but I do sometimes look back at my pictures and wish the setting was outside as I’d originally intended (and oh the state of hairdos with rain and humidity).  I may not have wedding photos I’d envisioned, but it really did help emphasize what the day was all about.  So many things went wrong/other than how I’d planned, but the vow exchange is what I have the most vivid memory of.  I know you’re sad about the venue, but it’s part of what will make your day your day.  It will be a good ice breaker for guests to talk about and a memory for all to share.  And yes, it does seem more humorous with time….
