Spent lots of time getting our wedding website (though TheKnot) just the way we wanted it, and I can see from the counter that some of our guests are visiting (we put the address on our STDs).
When I Google our names, though, it doesn’t come up. What DOES come up is a page from Wedding Channel, which we’ve not used, with some picture of pink roses and links to three of our four registry sites. Another thing that comes up is something called Amazing Registry, which has our names and all the items from our Sur la Table registry.
First, what can I do to make our actual wedding website appear on a Google search, and what, if anything, should I do about unknown sites linking our registries?

I’ve got the same issues!!! See my post at http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/multiple-registry-craziness-wtd. I googled our names yesterday, and it led to me realizing that I registry I thought I deleted showing up, with purchases on it!
From what I know, you can’t do anything about the site not showing up on the google results – The Knot would need to pay google to add it to the listings. At least, thats my perception – if you want it on Google before their next crawl, then you need to pay.

Yikes! Same issues!
What is this Amazing Registry, and what is amazing about it besides the fact that it’s got all my stuff on it without my consent???
As for your post, I would delete everything else – and hope that the craziness is over with.

I just called them and screamed at the dude who answered. My information came off the website super fast–dude was scared!! Don’t think he expected anyone to acually find him and call. The google search result still pops up (i requested to have it removed by google), but the link takes you to a blank page on that shady website “amazing registry”. More like shady a$$ MF-ing registry if you ask me. How dare they. Call them!! Everyone!!
