I just got an email that our wedding manager’s last day is Dec 31 and there’s no replacement. Awesome!
Our wedding is 5 months away and we do not have any hotel block info or anything yet.
Has anyone else had this happen? I’m bummed, she seems great and now I worry about who is going to be taking this over.

Who is the wedding manager employed by? Your reception site? I would see if they could discount your price since you are not getting the agreed upon service.
I would make a list of the things you expected your wedding manager to do, and see if you can do them yourself, or delegate them to others. For example, you can reserve a hotel block yourself – just contact the hotel.

@Jw1724: is there just never going to be a replacement or have they not hired one? If they are through your reception site see if they are having someone take on her role, maybe they have someone in sales that will do the contracts and then the banquets do all the little details for the day of.

No replacement ever, or just not one filling their spot right away?
We had ours replaced about 8 months out. I was worried at first, but she has been fabulous. I like her better than the first one. The first one it always seemed like I was being a pain. The second one seems to just love doing it, and is more than happy to help and much more available.

@Polygon: She is employed by the reception site.
@anemone681: They plan to have a replacement but will not have one before she leaves… which means minimal training. There isn’t much “wedding business” around here so I worry that a random will be hired to have a body.

our hotel blocks were promised to be done mid- November. nothing yet.
