By paying in ful you received a receipt, they have to fufill their end of the contract and provide the service/item you paid for. If you do not recieve the dress I would take them to court.

@radiolassie82:  Can’t you go directly to the store and see what is happening. If they are closing down they will need to pack/store their stuff so you might catch them at the store. I think a direct approach (if possible is the best).

Hope you get through and get your dream dress. hugs…

@radiolassie82:  How far away is this shop from where you live? Can you go see them or get a family member to if they are too far away for you? I would definitely try to talk to them face to face and bring any receipts you have with you as you may well end up having to get your money back. By the way make sure you have copies of those receipts and if during the visit, you don’t get an acceptable response, I would look into seeking legal advice.

@radiolassie82:  Yikes…I hate to say it but if you didn’t get a receipt to prove you paid you might be out of luck, but if it was a check they should be able to see who cashed it…you should always get a receipt.

Going up there is really your only option. I would rather lose a tank of gas and a days pay than lose a very expensive wedding dress. Go up first thing in the morning and stay there all day if you have to, I would!

@radiolassie82:  I also had a hard time getting straight answers from the store we bought my dress and my bridesmaid dresses from (BUMP) but I discovered that when I called AA customer service, they contacted the store and gave them 24-48 hours to get back to me. Not quite sure what they would have done had the store not gotten back to me, but it worked!
