I keep looking at favors and nothing really grabs me. Originally I wanted a winter wedding so everything I previously picked is more winter themed. Now that we have moved to fall(late october) can I still do christmas ornaments??? Or we can always fall back on shot glasses filled with personalized m&ms….We don’t really have a theme which is making this soooo much harder.

I love the ornaments idea.

If stores can display Christmas inventory after Halloween, I don’t see why you can’t get away with having a winter themed wedding in fall. I think it would be lovely and different.

@Crazeebee3: Ornaments are probably more useful that shot glasses, unless you have guests that don’t celebrate Christmas. Just make sure the ornaments are not personalized.

Love the ornament idea, and Christmas is right around the corner and your wedding can be thought about again as your guest hang your favors up! Love it!

I think an ornament would be awesome. Please don’t personalize them though (at least not on the front). I probably wouldn’t use it if it was personalized.

@Crazeebee3: Ornaments are perfect because it is close enough its not weird and early enough people can actually use them the Christmas after the wedding. What were you thinking of putting on them? I would refrain from personal details (name or date) and go with like your favorite quote as a couple on love or something instead so people are more likely to use them.

Does everyone coming to your wedding celebrate Christmas? I think ornaments could be a controversial favour and could potentially offend a guest.
But then again I am in the edible or no favour camp. I would leave your ornament/shot glass favour on the table particularly becuase I like matching/sets of ornaments/glasses and not single ones.

Can you also buy michaels clear ornaments and fill it with some fall things?
leaves, acorns, pumpkins, fall scented potpourri?
If you are a diy bride get some fall shaped cookie cutters and make these can tie with ribbon that includes your colors:
With either of these ideas you can get a sharpie and write the _____ Wedding and your date.
or get some fall themed ornaments like this:
acorns can be fall or winter themed
or a pumpkin one:
But I feel you would have better luck with acorn because pumpkin is more fall than winter to me. but people may still hang it up because of sentimental value.
