Hi everyone! I am SO bummed about the fact that it is going to cost about $2,000 to light a 40X60 tent for our backyard wedding (we were quoted this by two companies). It's a combination of string lights, chinese lanterns, and spotlights. This also includes to set up and take down of the lights. I'm wondering if perhaps the rental people are telling us that we need more lighting than we do! We told them that we wanted a bright tent because we are having an evening wedding.
So, ladies - could you tell me (or show me pics!) of your tent with lighting? Did you feel you had too much/too little? And how much did you spend?
{Some have suggested buying lights and doing it ourselves to save money BUT this isn't really a DIY option for the following reasons: 1. We've already given our family/friends enough to do, this would put them over the edge 2. It's a big tent and very tall and doesn't seem so safe to have people spending hours trying to string lights and hang things 3. I like the idea that the professionals will handle it all and so we don't have to wonder if it will look nice... and maybe it doesn't end up looking nice the day of the wedding?}
Thanks :)
