- Wedding: May 2014 - Beach
Hello Bees 🙂 I’m planning to have a candy buffet done (by me) for our outdoor wedding. It’s on the 30th of may and at that time it will a bit hot (ceremony starts at 4)but windy. So now everyone keeps telling me that if it’s hot and in the daylight the candy wont taste good especially cupcakes, macaroons and cake pops
What do you guys think?
I was also thinking of doing them on a semi covered tent so that they dont melt if it;s too hot and protect the table from the sun will that work?

@myweddingbee: I think as long as you keep them in a covered area, you should be fine. Keep everything refrigerated as long as possible and have someone bring it all right before you need it.

Im having a candy buffet as well and my wedding is in August – which is way hot! I am planning on setting the candy bar later on in the wedding and not at the start. Maybe in the middle of the wedding which will be at around 10pm (ceremony starts at 6pm and cake cutting at around 12.30am). The first reason is because of the heat, the second reason is because I am afraid that everyone will want on their way in!
