@ocam_caro:Hi. My reception is outdoors as well. I have no idea what the cost is for lighting. I've envisioned just having string lights on trees or maybe even paper laterns. Although, not sure if that's enough as well. What type of qoutes have you been getting? Are you using a vendor to help w/ lighting? I would love to know...Thanks!

Hi ladies, I just need to get things out of my chest. . .
When we planned on having an outdoor reception I was imagining to have something like this:

We wanted it to be after sunset because in September Houston it's still very hot. . .
What we didn't realize is how much it would cost, and unfortunately we didn't really budgeted for it. . .heck! we didn't budget for a lot of things :(
The other problem is even if we buy the string lights, we are not really sure if they will provide enough light (there will be no other source of light)
So bees, I have several questions for you:
Have you used string lights to illuminate your backyard/outdoor wedding? if so, what kind did you buy and where? (the more specific the more it will help us, i.e. G40 bulbs w/ C9 strings at partylights.com) Did they provide enough lighting?
Also, what other (cheaper) options do we have to illuminate our outdoor reception? Where did you/can we buy such things?
