- Wedding: March 2013
Hi Bees! I have an outdoor wedding (next weekend) and i need help with the processional order. The site is on the edge of a mountain, basically all the guests (and then the processional) will walk through an aspen grove to get to the edge of the mountain where the ceremony will be. Here is a picture where the bride and groom are standing at the end of the grove. behind them will be an aisle leading to the edge of the mountain.
Here’s a pic of an actual wedding at the site, set up basically how we will have it(photo credit http://allieblog.squarespace.com/journal/2012/3/19/heather-daniel-part-i-granby-co-wedding-photographer.html)
I don’t want to have the groom and officiant just standing up there mulling about while guests are filing in and I don’t want them to have to walk through the crowd unceremoniously to get to the front. As there is no “side entrance” i think we need to have both of them be part of the processional, but i can’t for the life of me figure out how it should go. Here is what I have as of now
processional music starts
mother of bride
ushers (two, alone or in a pair, not sure)
bridesmaids escorted by groomsmen
MOH and best man
but i’m just not sure if that is correct. should i not start the processional music until it’s time for the BM’s? Should I have the groom walk out before the parents? should I figure out a way for him to enter from the side somehow?
help! I need to print my programs!! 🙂
thanks so much for your input!
