Are you planning just the ceremony outdoors or the entire reception too? If everything is there, I'd just make sure its all indoors and maybe just have some pictures done outside.
There isn't too much that's very close to LL other than the Fairmont/Chateau, is there? We were there 2 years ago in September, and it was freezing then! We stayed in Banff at the Fairmont there,tho.
Well, if it's outdoors, make the ceremony short and find somewhere indoors for the reception. You'll need a parka over your wedding dress - it's beautiful, but it is the mountains in the winter.
It may be very romantic to have an outdoor wedding in December but you can bet it's also going to be cold. Average temp in December is 21 F. That would be 11 degrees below freezing.
How many people will be attending?
We're just having our ceremony outside, we're actually having the dinner at a restaurant in Banff. The ceremony should only be about 15 minutes, that shouldn't be too bad right?
We got engaged on the trail around the lake behind the Chateau, so we plann oon getting married on the back end of the trail (so we aren't in the middle of horse traffic) by the Victoria glacier.

Hey Western Canadian Bees!
FI and I are all set for our December 17 wedding. The farmer's almanac (I know, I know) calls for pretty good weather considering, but I worry about us freezing to death anyway. Are there are cheap halls or anything I can book in LL as an indoor backk-up that you Bees know of?
