I know someone else who is getting married in May with that color scheme, but I am unsure of whether it is outdoors or now. We are doing royal blue, with accents of green and white.
my friend is getting married outdoor in May and her colors are purple (a few different shades of plum. some very dark to medium) and then a soft yellow with white accents.
My friend got married in August with those colors. Worked ok.
We are doing charcoal grey and pale peony pink. For pink peonies of course. :)
I think you should choose whatever makes you happy!
For our May day we are doing navy, lavender, and lemon with ivory linens and flowers :)
@knvprincess143: Love that. I'm already married but came to say aqua and coral or aqua and pink I love for Spring.
I'm grey, yellow, orange and white.
To me, pink and black are a bit intense - but you know what, it's YOUR wedding so you should do whatever your heart desires :)
For our MAY wedding i have picked a backyard event with my favorite flower, old fashioned lilacs. the wedding is being planned around their blossoming and we have several bushes around the lawn. i know its risky for weather in PA at that time of year, but i am gonna do it!
planning for the ceremony to take place under a gazebo next to the pond, with guests moving under the canopy for reception. if it rains, we will just have the ceremony under the tent. guests will sit at their tables and turn the chairs around toward the dance floor. (my back up plan). i will rent sides for the tent at the last minute in case of rain.
i have always dreamed of having my wedding in our beautiful backyard, and my sister wants to do the same. My grandmother bought me a hybrid lilac bush called 'sensation' as an engagement gift and i plan on using these in my bouquet. all BM's will also carry lilacs. .
otherwise my color scheme is purle, lilac and willow green. I am incorporating milk glass for the candy buffet and large vases filled with lilacs for centerpieces. I will lay lace paper doillies under clear chargers with real white lace linens under centerpieces for the table settings witha splash of bling.
so glad i found this site. have found so many great ideas here from other bees. look forward to posting our event here afterwardsi

What are your suggestions for colors? Im thinking along the lines of Hot Pink and Black but not too sure if thats too bold for an outdoor wedding in May
::Thanks::
