I think it is fine. It would be nice I think untill the dancing starts. I would rent a tent or offer a cool spot. If you are having your wedding towards the night, you should be fine without a tent.
Hello HipFlower! Our wedding ceremony will be taking place outdoors (April 9) and let me tell you the weather is absolutely PERFECT! It actually gets kinda chilly for us zonies at night. Rain is definitely possible but with yearly averages of possible sunshine ranging from 86% to 92% - I am hoping for the best!
I think you should be fine for an April wedding. This year it didn't start to really warm up until Mayish....and by warm up I mean 100+ haha
I say YAY! I think the weather will be beautiful.
I think April is the best time of the year in Phoenix so I vote yes!
I agree with all of the other posts. You should have gorgeous weather. But just in case you need some historic, scientific reassurance, check out this site:
The last three weddings I have been to here were in April, the 2 outdoor ones had gorgeous weather and the indoor one was a little windy, but it never rained.
Go for it!
I'm getting married this week next year, and am hoping and praying it won't be crazy hot like it has been so far!
I agree- April is a perfect time for an outdoor wedding in Phoenix!
We are having ours on 4-21-12 outdoors. Both the ceremony and reception. So I think it will be a great idea.
You will be fine:) April is perfect weather!
Outdoor weddings are the best IMHO...
I am debating now if we are going to do our Vow Renewal at Papago Park (where we originally got married) or now switching it up to Vegas with elvis and everything! woot! that sounds like much more fun:)

Hi everybody :)
So due to a zillion reasons, I had to move the location and date of my wedding to the Phoenix area and to April. Having not lived there in a long time, I just don't know how to plan for the weather!
I was planning to do a backyard thing for ~250 people (it's a big backyard) - is it crazy to have an outdoor wedding in April? Will it be too hot already? Or too cool in the evenings? Will I need a tent? Is there a better month to do it in?
Help! It's so hard to plan a quasi "destination" wedding :s
