Any suggestions on songs for the bridal party and processional for the bride? The wedding will be outside so I want to do something different than the traditional stuff.

My wedding is outdoors as well. I'll show you my list to give you some ideas :)

Family walks to- 8 days a week- the beatles
Bridal party walks to- Better together- Jack Johnson
I walk to- At Last- Etta James
Processional song is Signed, Sealed, Delivered- Stevie Wonder

A few other songs I'm going to play throughout the wedding festivities
Lucky- Jason Mraz/Colbie Caillat
Single Ladies- Beyonce
Stand by me- Ben E. King
What a wonderful world- louie armstrong
A little help from my friends- the beatles
Something- the beatles
I'm yours- Jason Mraz

We are also doing an outdoor reception and using "Things Meant to Be" by Xavier Rudd. VERY appropriate for an outdoor wedding, as it mentions Mother Nature and such.

"It's in the wind It's in the trees It's in the way you smile At me It's in the waves up from the sea It's in the way you feel When you're pleased And it's all meant to be"

I am walking down the aisle to "Truly Madly Deeply" by Ray LaMontagne (not Savage Garden version). It is a gorgeous instrumental that compliments the other song well.

Recessional is "She's Mine" by Brett Dennen. Jazzy, feel good song :)

We are having a bagpiper do our ceremony music. We are getting married outside and one of the nice things about a piper is you don't have to worry about the volume level... needless to say, no one will have a hard time hearing :) I'm not sure exactly what songs we'll have them play- wedding march for me, maybe highland cathedral for the rest of the processional and still undecided for recessional.

Probably a little late but I saw your post that Ingrid Mitchelson is your first dance and your wedding is in june 2012 me too on both counts.

Ours was outdoors and it was awesome.

Seating of the Mothers and Groom's Entrance: Clocks by Coldplay but interpreted by Vitamin String Quartet

Bridesmaids/Flowergirl: Seasons of Love from RENT interpreted by Vitamin String Quartet

Bride's Procession: Blackbird by the Beatles interpreted by Vitamin String Quartet

I loved and LOVE our songs. When my iPod shuffles and plays one of them, I almost always tear up because it immediately takes me back to the happiest day of my life.
