Outdoor wedding professional lighting important?

@MrsTickledPink:  It may be nice to have some on that deck area. It looks like there is already lighting on the sidewalk and near the fountain am I right??

@MrsTickledPink:  It really depends on what kind of lighting the venue already has, and what sort of feel you are going for.  If possible, I would do a walk through of the venue at night and look for dark spots or things you’d want to highlight.

I think you need lighting in any space you want people to use after dark. Doesn’t have to be a lot of light. Soft light is kind of nice. I’d just see what your DJ is offering. We used Christmas lights to light some additional space and seating area at my backyard wedding:

@MrsTickledPink:  You could ask the venue if couples often use outside vendors for lighting, and if so, how.  It might be worthwhile working with a vendor that has been to your reception site before.

@MrsTickledPink:  Is there anyway to look at reviews and/ or talk to other people? I think (if you can afford it)  that something like these would be nice,..
