I *love* my oval ring. Mine isn't a Tacori, but it's similar to the one you posted.
@soon2beeMrsM he asked me to put it in an e-mail and he would put it in safe keeping but I asked him not to look until he was ready. When I got home from breakfast with some friends, I asked him if he looked and he couldn't keep it a secret that he did (sneaky!). He said he will take it into consideration when the time comes and I thought thats good enough for me!
@ms spaniel and @sunnydebs your rings are so beautiful! I love how the shape is a little less traditional but still so classic!
I have a Tacori and I LOVE it! Mine is not an oval but an asscher cut. Warning: Once you try on Tacori's you will not be able to look at another designer.
These are horrible pics as I cannot figure out how to take good ring pics on my digital camera.
@miss.skinner, your ring is beautiful, I can't get over how beautiful the setting is, I LOVE THE DETAIL! thanks for the warning! I looked up a place close by that sells them but I know I have to wait a little longer to get the thumbs up to try things on. He is funny he doesn't want to take me to try rings on but its ok if I go with my mom or cousin because then he can get the scoop later.
Uh WHY did I not know about oval cuts during my ring search?? Granted, my ring search was about 2 years ago, but still! Those are so gorgeous.
I wanted anything rounded and had a MAJOR crush on an oval ring but didn't tell FI that it was my crush...I love my ring but I still REALLY love oval rings too!!!
OMG these are beautiful! I love my ring...but these are gorgeous!
That Tacori ring is just gorgeous! My friend and I used to obsess over the Tiffany three-stone Oval ring, we called it the TSO. Before I got engaged we used to look at Tiffany's website and even went to the store to try it on (I know it sounds crazy and I don't care).
The only problem with ovals and this is a big reason why i ended up with round brilliant, is that they are more rare, so it's harder to find them in the first place and you don't get to specify as many features about the stone. FH was buying the stone from Blue Nile and had very specific qualities he wanted within his budget.
I recently saw a vintage-looking setting featuring an oval set 'east to west' instead of the traditional way. It was in the window at our jeweler's and I don't know who it was by but it's the only ring I've ever seen and coveted instantly. I wish I could find it online!
I narrowed my choices down to 4 rings and one was an east-west set oval. I ended up with an asscher that I love but still think ovals are so pretty.
Gorgeous rings!
A friend of mine has a simple Tiffany set oval ring. The shape looks really good on her hand. Makes her finger look longer I guess. I'm sure she won't mind if I share the pic of it.
@mustlovedogs: OMG I LOVE YOUR RING! It's the one I want! Details details please!!! :)
Ovals and cushion cuts are my favorites.
I also adore halo's. I'm trying really hard to find an oval halo that is affordable for my boyfriend, and so far all the one's I've fallen in love with are over budget.
I absolutely adore Katie Holmes oval halo engagement ring.
It's the inspiration for my dream custom engagement ring (of course on a much smaller size).
That is absolutely stunning!! I hope my engagement ring will become a family heirloom.
First off I must say, @emmybren, that ring is so beautiful!
Second, just for the fun of it, I went to Tacori's site & did the little quiz. My ring is not a Tacori but I just wanted to see what the quiz results would be. Funny thing is, the answer it gave me, is so so so similar to the ring my FI picked out. Kind of odd. Thanks for sharing that quiz.
@emmybren: Did you get this ring????!!! I just wrote a new post asking for pictures of rings just like this on people's fingers. This is my new ring crush :)

After my best friend got engaged this week, my boyfriend spoke up about rings again, what cut I liked, how expensive typically etc. etc. I was playing around on the Tacori site and after taking the silly little quiz for engagement rings it brought up this beauty from their Dantella collection.
I am now in love with the ring and we talked a little about it for when the time does come. Does anyone else have an oval stone/tacori (or that style)i ring that they love? Please post pics so I can see it for real!
