I tried on one like that at Harry Winston and it is GORGEOUS. I don’t have pictures though, sorry.

Make sure to get a quality cut that doesn’t show the “bowtie” through the middle of the diamond.

Hi @shanabanana: My ering doesn’t have baguettes, but it’s a similar sized oval. (1.48ct, 7.3×9.7mm). My finger is a size 8.5.

@shanabanana:  Yup. 🙂 It’s colour designation is “fancy yellow.” That pic was taken in direct sunlight, which makes it show kinda pale. Here’s a pic showing the colour better.

Just as an FYI – when we were choosing our oval stone, the jeweller noted that mine is “cut like a round brilliant.” On the GIA it’s called a “modified round brilliant” cut. I didn’t know, but there are different ways to cut an oval to get different effects – mine shows more brilliance (lots of brilliant facets) but other cuts show more depth (ie – with more stepped cuts).

I was looking at the exact same style ring!!! I ended up with a 3 stone oval that I LOVE!  Here is a pic.  Center stone is 1.51ct, sides are .6 each.  Ring size 6.75
