My setting isn’t what you’re looking for, but I’ll share pics, since it’s an oval.  I’m thinking about adding a delicate halo.  OEC’s are really pretty!  Have fun choosing! 🙂

@FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  Thank you!  As you might have seen, I’ve had a hard time finding the right oval.  I only have a week left in my return window, and I think I’ve finally decided to keep this one, lol.  I don’t mind sharing the specs.  It’s G in color, with faint fluoro, .94, IF, 1:54 ratio, 7.95×5.17×3.10, EX polish and sym, and ideal cut (proportions).

I got the diamond from James Allen.  They have amazing deals on diamonds and their settings are so much cheaper than chain jewelers.  They’ve been incredible to work with…so friendly and helpful!

I would love to see your finished product!  Do you have the setting in mind?  You’re getting a halo right?  I’m really thinking about adding one to mine!  I’m thinking half pointers, super delicate.  There are so many different styles of halos, lol…it’s overwhelming.

If you go the diamond route, a simple setting would be beautiful.  I love classic looks!  James Allen has a classic setting for only $180, and it is very pretty!

Here is my OEC, although it is not diamond it is a forever brilliant moissanite (1 ct). I *love* it. It gives off chunky pastel flashes of color.

I really like the crown on an OEC as compared to a round brilliant. It gives the stone more depth and is more visually appealing to me.

@casualencounter:  Thank you! It was custom designed by me and the designers at Joe Schubachs 🙂 I combined aspects of my old e-ring (Tiffany Soleste replica) with some much needed improvements.

@Lovewinz:  Thank you!! I received it last Friday, on Halloween. I’ve got a bit more pictures on my thread I started about the whole design process. I really want to take some good outdoor shots, but it’s been horribly overcast and rainy here lately.

@FutureDrAtkins:  I think you should probably make a whole new post dedicated to your ring so those who missed it can see it!

@FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  My ring sounds similar to what you are interested in. Mine is also a 1 carat OEC moissy and I love it!
