lealorali: I can’t answer as I’ve not conceived yet but wanted to add we’ve been trying for 5 cycles, in case you’re in need of any comfort / empathy. Really didn’t expect it to take this long, thought it would be 3 at the most, how naive was I, but going on the ‘it’s so esay to get pregnant’ stuff people tell you in your teens and early twenties.

EDIT: forgot to say I’m 33

lealorali: Yeah nothing in the middle :/  Will be interesting to see the replies, I was only looking this up this morning. Best of luck to you too, may see you around on the POAS and charters threads.

lealorali:  I am 31. I tracked ovulation and got pregnant in June on the 1st try but lost that baby at 9 weeks. We tried again in October and I got pregnant again on the first try. I am now 26 weeks along with a healthy baby girl. Good luck!

I’m going to answer because I was so close. We got pregnant one month before I turned 30. I’m now 22 weeks. It took 3 months of actively trying. I had no known health issues.

im apparently super fertile. I got pregnant at age 32 1st month off the pill. At age 36, I got pregnant, 1st month off the pill and miscarried. I got pregnant again 1st cycle after my miscarrage. My grandma had babies until she was 46. I come from breeding stock.

lealorali:  I’m 31, DH is 33. I did it all – charted temps, OPKs, stayed active and it took us 5 cycles. Good luck!

I’m not TTC yet but I can answer for my mom when it came to conceiving me. Mom was 40 and dad was 43 when I was conceived back in the late 70s. I was born 9 months and 2 weeks after they got married and starting trying (and I was 2 weeks early).  I’m hoping for her genes lol.

I got pregnant on the second try, had a miscarriage, and then got pregnant on the fourth try.  But, I was extremely sick when I ovulated during the third try after my miscarriage, so we couldn’t DTD.

Anyway, I selected 7-8 months since it took time for my body to recover from the mc.  Now we have a healthy 5.5-week-old baby.

lealorali:  DTD =  “do the deed”, i.e., have sex.

I got a BFP on cycle 4 after going off the pill but had a MC at 6 weeks. skipped one cycle, then got pregnant the 3rd cycle after that (after being put on progesterone for short LP). I’m now almost 24 weeks with a healthy baby. I turned 39 2 days before I got my BFP.

I’m 32 and we tried for 19 cycles (17 months).  But, we learned after a year that I had a blocked tube, so there were issues working against us.  Once that was removed, I got pregnant that very cycle.  TTC is a tough road but when you see the light at the end of the tunnel, I really do think the TTC trek makes it that much sweeter.  Best of luck to you.
