So, I should start by saying I LOVE this florists work. I’d be the happiest bride if we end up signing the contract with her…BUT I am still nervous about her price.
She is charging $4700 (price will go down after final head count) for:
- 60 centerpieces (# will go down after final head count)
- 20 manzanita trees with hydrangeas and orchids around base
- 20 HUGE curly willow centerpieces with white and yellow orchids
- 20 centerpieces with three different vases with orchids in water and candles
- All centerpieces with crystals and hanging candles (minus the vase centerpieces)
- Bridal bouquet: whatever flowers I want -unlimited
- Five Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets
- 10 boutonnieres
- Flower Girl basket
- Bridal Party Table
- Bride and Groom table
- Bride and Groom stage: Chiffon draping, five big floral arrangements, uplighting
- Entrance decoration
The thing is we still need to rent Chiavari chairs and linens…
Expensive or great deal??

@garden_bride: where are you located? this makes a difference… I can say I am in the bay area ( very pricey and I found someone to do
25 wreaths around the manzanita centerpieces i DIY’dof green and hydrangas
bridal boquet of mini calla lillies
8 bm calla lily bouquets
14 calla lilly boutineers
2 arrrangments for the reception ( callas, roses, hydrangeas, ranculus)
one low and long (2-3 feet) arrangement for the sweetheart table ( callas, roses, hydrangeas, ranculus)
two flower girl bouquets
and TWO deliveries, one to the church and one to the venue and set up
I called EVERY florist in a 30 mile radius. She was my second appointment.
But 60 centerpieces? yes that IS a big job!

@Angelz_love: She is in Royal Oak, MI. Wedding is in Detroit/Dearborn, MI.
That’s an INSANE deal!

why 60 centerpieces? how many people can fit at a table?
my venue said 8-10 so im trying to max out each table at 10 guests… 21 tables…

@asianyoushi: 10 people. 550-600 people invited. HUGE families on both sides + large # of family friends and our friends. We are trying to cut the list to 500-520.

o shoot… okay um have u taken the list and photos of what she is gonna do to other florist… that might be the best deal u are gonna get… i think i went to 8 florists with the basic what flowers colors i wanted and design and all of them gave me their quotes. but i ended up going with the middle quote because i just had a good feeling

@garden_bride: This sounds like a RIDICULOUSLY good deal! Sounds like you have a much higher headcount than we had (we had 160), and for 15 tables of centerpieces (mixed tall and short) plus bouquets and bouts and 2 corsages, we paid just over $2k!

@pengoala: If you don’t mind me asking, where did you have your wedding? I think I am just ify cause I got quoted 5200 WITH chairs and linens, I mean the work wasn’t as good, but still good work.

more opinions please, we have to put a downpayment within the next two days =(

The price sounds pretty darn good to me! You are getting A LOT for your value.
I did a lot of pricing on flowers (real and fake) for my wedding of 120 people. With much less people and less than half those flowers, the quote was over $2000.

It is a very high quote… However, you have a very large list 🙂
We paid $500 (in a small town… and we haggled with the florist) to get:
- Bride’s Bouquet
- Toss Bouquet
- 3 Bridesmaid or Best Man Bouquet
- 9 Bouts (Groom, 3 Groomsmen, 2 Dads, 2 Ring beares, 1 Grandfather)
- 4 Corsages (2 Moms and 2 Grandmothers)
No centerpieces at all, no uplighting, no head table decor, etc… I think you are getting a great deal!

I almost choked seeing the price, but when you consider what you are getting, the sheer volume of flowers and centerpieces and also your area I think that is probably fair. Also I demand pictures of all these flowers afterwards, that all sounds ah-ma-zing!

For what you’re getting, I think that’s an awesome deal.

@mixtapehearts: Dont ya worry! lol I will post a recap !! lol

@Angelz_love: Was this in the San Francisco bay area? If yes, can I ask which florist you used?
@garden_bride: Considering I’ve been quoted for much, much less (and only 15 centerpieces) at $1,500, I’d say this is a great deal! And I would love to see pictures of your tables, it sounds like your going to have quite a beautiful event.
