QUESTION for all of you ovulation-fluent ladies:
If my best friend started her monthly period TODAY, when will she be ovulating if she normally has a 29-30 day cycle?
She has been trying to calculate online and has been getting extremely varied results.
She is curious to try the Shettles Method for a girl (just to see if it works – they have 3 boys already!) so if anyone is willing to break down “days most likely for to conceive a girl” too, that would be great info.

I suggest she read the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. It will tell you how to know when you are ovulating, since you don’t ovulate on the same day every cycle. It also has a chapter on choosing the gender of your baby (not sure if it actually works!) www.tcoyf.com

I got pregnant using the ovulation calendar at babyhopes.com, that site also tells you best days for conceiving a girl vs boy based on the fact that girl sperm are slower than boy sperm and need a headstart! I have no idea if that part is true or not since we were just focused on a baby and had sex every day in the window they recommended!

I second looking at the TCOYF book. Learning how to predict ovulation based on cervical fluid will be more accurate than doing so based on the calendar alone. She could also check out fertilityfriend.com as they have instructions on how to chart cervical fluid (also called cervical mucus), as well.
