Hello Ladies, I have a question I hope someone can help with. I have added a pic below I am on CD12 today and I took an ovulation test, it comes up with a dark line and a faded line next to it. Now I only have 2 more tests left when should I test again? The box of tests are very expensive and I dont want to waste the two I have. By the app Fertility friend I should Ovulate on Saturday January 25th which is CD 15. Please if anyone can give me any advise that would be greatly appreciated.

There’s really no way to do be sure with an ovulation test unless you do it daily imo. Some people surge for as short as 12 hours or ovulate in as little as 12 hours after the surge so some even say to do it twice a day to make sure you don’t miss it. I’d recommend buying some cheapie OPKs off Amazon. I’ve been using Wondfos and haven’t had any issues.

It’s really tough to say without having all of the experiences of your past cycles. I have lines like that sometimes on CD 12… and don’t get a positive until CD 16 or as far as CD 18. Other times, I have a line like that and get a positive OPK the very next day. For me, it’s very flexible.
For now, I’d maybe try testing again on CD 14. In the meantime, get on Ebay or Amazon and order some bulk cheapies (do a search like “50 ovulation tests” or “100 ovulation tests.” I use cheapies in conjunction with the more expensive stuff and 99% of the time, they are in total or near-total agreement. One might be off by, say, 3 hours or so). I can generally get 50 – 100 tests for $5 – $10, including S&H.
That said – keep the BD going every other day. Statistically, you’re no more or less likely to get pregnant following that than if you BD every day during your fertile window.

@SJ77: Well, the other ladies are giving you great advice.
But if you’re thinking you’ll ovulate on Saturday, you should be having sex now and keep having sex until you are sure you ovulated.
The only real way to know you’ve ovulated is through temping. You’ve mentioned you don’t want to do that, which is your perogative, but in that case I would BD every day or every day between now and at at least a week from now.

@Mrs.LemonDrop: I have been temping for over a week now and every morning before I get out of bed it is exactly the same temp… 36.5 which is 97.7 F Is that weird to have it exactly the same every day for the past 6 days? I tested the basal thermometer and it isn’t broken.

@SJ77: I Dont know if you saw the thread recently (I can’t find it) about how that is the default temp that it goes back to if you are using the memory function. Best would be to write it as soon as you take your temp and not use the memory function in case of errors.. not sure if this is whats happening here though

Just wanted to jump in here and let you know about the Wondfo brand ovulation test strips. They are super cheap online (Amazon) and worked great for me. You can get 25+ strips for not very much $ at all!
Also, I don’t know what your cycle is like but this is what I did: I started testing about 10 days into my cycle (I usually O later than day 14 so this gave me plenty of time). When the line started getting darker we started BD every other day. Once the line was just nearly as dark as the control line we would start BD every day and do that through the day or two after I ovulated. I charted my cycle to know when ovulation took place, but alternatively you could BD through 2 or 3 days following your positive test.
