oxygen facials are really nice. but it wouldn't be the oxygen part of the facial that would break you out. i would watch out for the products they use. a lot of people have sensitive skin and my have some kind of reaction with them. i have personally never had one, but i am an esthetican and have seen people recieve oxygen facials and say they are wonderful.
I agree with L breezy. Im also an esthetician: ive recieved an oxygen facial and given some. They are wonderful, esp. if you have any redness in the face. As L breezy has stated, watch out for the products. There is a website dont go to the cosmetics counter without me (and a book as well). It has very useful info on tons of products.
I would never ever do any treatment on my face the day before any event, especially my wedding. You could suggest you come in for that 2 weeks before or be given credit so that you can come in after the wedding.
A mu artist told me that I shouldn't do anything to my skin for 2 wks. ... I begged that I wanted a tan-glow and she said FINE 1 1/2 wks. lol
Why don't you contact the salon and see if they would do one on you on another day? That way you will be sure that it has no adverse effects.
I agree with Chelseamorning (and everoyne above.) Ive had oxygen facials and theyre wonderful - but you never know how you'll react. I had a standard facial once, and the girl put some lotion with retinol on my face...Im allergic to Retinol and very sensitive to Vitamin A. You never know what products they might use and how your skin might react.
Id see if the salon is willing to do it in advance so you know. If you love the results then buy one the day before, but dont risk that without knowing 100%
My beautician actually advised me to get my regular facial about one month before the wedding (extractions, etc) and about one week before to get an oxygen facial to help me out a bit in case the wedding stress & wine is getting to my skin. LOL. However, if you arent someone who does it on a regular and is use to how your skin reacts to certain things - I wouldnt risk it, even if it's free, especially the day before my wedding. Is there anyway you can request to have it a few days before - since you are giving them business & they can give you a freebie - even if it's on another day - just in case you experience any redness or dryness from it???
Thanks ladies.
I think I'll ask them if I can do it early. I'm already going in a couple days before to get fake tan (although a facial on a tan day might make me streaky, so maybe I'll just go every day).

Hi ladies,
I'm having a spa party with my bridesmaids before the rehearsal dinner and the spa that we're going to is offering the bride (me) a free oxygen facial.
I've never had one and I don't want to break out or turn bright red the day before the wedding, but I don't like to turn down free stuff.
Has anyone had one. Do you think I should do it, or not?
