I have the DVD's at home, but I'm too afraid to try them. I tried them once for 2 days and gave up because I couldn't get the hang of the excercises - most of the excercises are done with free weights and all I have is bands. I want to try it again after I lose about 5-10 more pounds so that I'm really ready to tone up instead of lose weight. Keep me updated on how it goes - I'm really curious how it works for others.
I lovelovelove P90X. I've got 92 days until our wedding and I'm starting the program back up tonight. It's so funny that I came across this post today. LET'S DO THIS!!
Good Luck Ladies! I absolutely love P90x too but I fell off the wagon in April and havne't jumped back on...I am, however, looking forward to starting back up after the wedding :)
Do you actually lose weight with it? I heard you more just tone up and don't really lose any weight. I hate to be the typical girl - but I want to drop inches and lbs and tone up, not get super scary toned ya know~
I did P90x, on and off again...never actually did 90 days all the way through! They are tough!!! I don't think you lose too much weight with them, mostly because you gain muscle...but there is a difference between losing weight and reshaping your body.
Even if you dont lose lots of weight, if you stick with the program, you will definitely look better and slim down.
Well...I'm in a weightloss contest at work right now too so I really want to see the change in the scale so I can win the $$
But maybe when this is over I can start it up. I really do want to be very toned for my wedding!!

For me, the Plyos kicked my but the worst :)
I have been doing P90X on and off for the past month. I feel like it is working, but mostly with toning, not really losing weight. I don't do it every week, so I mix it up with swimming, cardio, yoga, and Wii Fit. :) But so far, I like P90, good variety and muscle confusion.
My fiance has this workout set and I've given some of the dvds a try. I found the shoulders and arm to be challenging because I'm not strong enough for the unassisted pullups, and it didn't work with the layout of my doors. My favorite is the Kenpo workout, a great way to work out your stress! I fell off the wagon after a week because it's very challenging to do hour long workouts 6 days a week when you work 12 hour shifts, but I'd like to do the videos more often.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I'm gonna start it today afterwork :) I've decided I'm gonna do the lean version since I still have several inches I want to lose. How is everyone else doing with this? Have you been able to stick with it?
P90X is a very hard workout regime. I have it and the new one called Insanity...holy cardio!
Anyway, stick with it! While it IS hard just remember you can do it! Good luck and keep us posted.
Hi all! I'm new to this site and this room. I just bought P90X yesterday and am eager to start! It's good to see so many motivated people. The wedding is still 8 months away but I have about 50 pounds to loose!

i've been needing a reason to redo the discs- if you haven't done them before it is amazing the results you can get- seriously!
i'm planning on starting this week or next week on a thursday (it works better with my work schedule) if someone wants to start at the same time. :) i'm much better at sticking to a workout plan if i am held accountable!
@mdarrah- keep us updated on your progress! i'm starting p90x lean today.
I just did the core syn. workout (I started today!)...OMG, that was a workout! I told myself that I can't get on WB unless I work out this morning...so I did it!! The things we do to get our fixes!! Haha!!
okay, so I woke up this morning and I was hurting all over!! I had a hard time sitting on the toilet, my glutes hurt so bad!! Just got done doing cardio x this morning..I'm on a roll!
jingle96- that is how i felt after the core synergistics as well!! keep it up. i've got legs and back tomorrow!! :)
I would like to lose some weight first, and then tone up. If I could do it in that order, that would be awesome!
My FI and I did this for about a month and then we ended up going out of town (def NOT what you want to do on this program) I liked the excersizes but with my work schedule it did not work too well. I would love to try it again but would need a buddy. Im in stl anyone?!
LMAO @msjingle... I have to say that I love it when your ass hurts so bad that it physically hurts to sit on the toilet. I remember I did walking lunges one day for like 30 minutes straight (what I was thinking.. one will never know) but I literally could not sit on the toilet the next day. It is weird but I love the feeling when you are so sore, it feels awful but oh so good at the same time - I love stretching the muscles and feeling the screeching pain, so weird I am, I know.
Hey guys! My fiance and I will be starting P90X and Weight Watchers on Monday....wish us luck! I'm looking forward to seeing the results, but at the same time I am scaaared! Lol.
Good luck Holly!! I'm doing the same thing! I just finished my full week of P90X..yippee, I feel great too! And I'm a WW member for life...8 yrs and still going!
Tenmylove: I was so sore that day, I was kinda laughing at myself trying to sit on the toilet, then it hurt so bad to laugh, my abs were so sore too!! But I did the same workout last night and I was fine, I guess its the initial part of doing the program! But I do love feeling sore the next day, it feels like I accomplished something! But that one day was a little too much!
I started the program monday-- so I am on day 3! I've got just over 3 months till my wedding-- so perfect timing! I did a fitness bootcamp for 2 months/ran a 10K in august, but I've been kinda coasting since then, so I am definitely sore. Can't wait to try Yoga X tomorrow! Plyometrics was really hard yesterday, but I like it. Good luck y'all!
FI is bringing it home next weekend. Can't wait to start next monday.
Tell us about your results you've had this far
I'm on week 4! I've lost some inches and def feel stronger. I don't look like the girls on teh video but its only week four and it is working! Granted, I think I've skipped on average 1 workout a week (last week i skipped 2 - oops). AND I'm really not great with the eating plan... I'm sorry, fruit is tasty and while I cut back on carbs... I def didnt cut as far back as it would like me to. So - even if you arent perfect with the program, you can still see results!
I started P90X a little less then 5 weeks ago and I have lost 6 pds so far! I havent missed one workout yet. I am excited to get to 90 days and see the results! My arms are actually starting to look a little defined and less flabby, as well as everything else but I am loving the arms the most!

I'm starting P90x on Monday and can't wait. I figure I can do it 3 full times before my wedding, so I'm hoping for some drastic results.
Just curious - has anyone followed their own eating plan & still had good results? I'm generally against dieting & I think it sets you up for failure (this comes from a life time of WW, Atkins, you name it) and I just try to eat clean & healthy.
I'd like to lose about 25 lbs before the wedding or 2 dress sizes. I'm definitely more concerned about size vs scale. Really hoping P90X gets me there!

After looking at some reviews on the p90x, I think I'm going to give it a try. My wedding is in June, and I would like to lose 5-10 pounds and tone up for my dress (and honeymoon!) Anyone else have the dvds and want to try? I just ordered mine so I will get them next week. I'm going to take before pictures, and take new pics at 30, 60, and 90 days to see my progress! Anyone else up for the challenge?
