I am back with my naive, FTM questions, so please forgive me because I know these questions probably sound incredibly dumb.
My question regarding the pack n play is: I know you remove the bassinet to put him in there to sleep, but what about the changing table? I assume not because if you remove it then you have to lay him somewhere else while you get it snapped back in. For reference, this is the pack n play we have:
My second question is regarding the Halo sleepsacks. I am such a freak about SIDS. I may be overthinking everything, I don’t know. It says to keep their room 68-72 degrees. If I have it set at 70 degrees, and I use a Halo sleepsack, what do I dress him in underneath? A onsie? Because I assume a sleeper under a Halo sleepsack is going to be WAY too hot for him.
How about if I swaddle him in just a regular swaddle blanket or muslin swaddle (like Aden and Anais)? I assume a sleeper would be appropriate for that?
The reason I ask because I am very different temperature-wise. Right now our bedroom is 62 degrees (outside temp less than 20 degrees) and I get hot in the middle of the night no matter if I am in shorts or sleeper pants, so I want to ensure I am keeping baby comfortable since I have NO idea.
I do know enough that if I see my baby’s face is flushed and possibly sweaty, he’s probably too hot, but I don’t even want to get to that point.
Thanks for any help, Bees!
