HI DW bee’s!
Did you / are you going to do any sort of handout / package on the plane for your guests? All our guests will be traveling on the same plane together. We are not doing any special bags for them, but i would like to give them a handout on the plane.
Thoughts so far:
– crossword with information about us as the answers
– information about the resort / things to do
– info about the wedding day, time, where to meet etc
– note that we would like all guests to meet us in the lobby bar for a drink the first night we arrive
any other ideas / suggestions?

I think that’s excessive. Welcome bags at the hotel would be more customary.

@Horseradish: it would be a couple pieces of paper… and free… so not really excessive… also not going with “customary”

@future_mrs_m: I like the idea of info about where you are going to be. We are going to Vegas for our wedding and I think that might be a good idea.
I want to do a brochure style invitation, so I could carry that over into a “what to do in Vegas” brochure 😀

@future_mrs_m: I think it’s fun – when I was in school anytime a friend was going on a trip we would write ‘Plane Letters’ which were basically really long notes and we included crossword puzzles, word searches and other things like that we’d made to occupy time on the plane (keep in mind this was before everyone had tablets and laptops and before personal tv screens on planes). I think it would be fun!

@future_mrs_m: I think your idea is great!!! We gave each of our guests a travel mug for drinks on the beach at the resort so they wouldnt have to use the crappy little plastic cups they give at the resort bars. We gave them out at the airport and I filled them with little goodies that they could use on the trip and a welcome note with common spanish phrases they would use in Cuba. The women had pink wirting on their cups (my wedding colour) and the men had black writing. It had are name on it and know on this website people say they had personlaized things for guest but all of our guests loved the cups and used them the whole trip!!!

@future_mrs_m: it may be a little difficult to hand them out on the plane. you never know what the flight will be like and how far apart everyone will be sitting, not to mention dodging the flight attendants while they do their jobs (sometimes they frown on that).
i would hand them out while you are still at your gate waiting to board the plane.

We’re doing welcome bags in the rooms but we have guests coming from everywhere!
I ordered little travel games online (I think partypalooza?) for pretty cheap that will be in the bags – might be cute to provide on the plane.

@future_mrs_m: I think that’s a nice gesture. You don’t have to add anything else, but if you want, maybe you can add some candy
