The big move is in 10 days … I just worked my last shift at the hospital last night, and after a good long sleep I am hitting the packing with a vengence.
I am surprised at how nervous I am about it all though, I know its a lot of new things and firsts, but I thought I would be more cool, calm and collected.
Purchasing our first home, moving in together, moving to a new city, a new job. Its a lot of new stuff all at once and I am excited and nervous.
We have so many things to get done in the next 10 days, final walk-through, possession, buying new washer/dryer.
And it is the end of our LDR … YAY!

Congratulations! Very exciting stuff. 🙂 Make sure you’re taking care of yourself and relaxing, too… even a lot of good changes can be super stressful!

Wow, that’s so exciting. It’s no wonder you’re nervous, you’re about to experience a lot of changes! I think you’re brave for taking on all these changes at once. All the best to you!

Woo! I bet you’re dead excited! Though I’d be a bit nervy about lots of new stuff at once too! How long were you long distance? We’ve been LD mainly for 2 yrs (first year we were together at uni) I can’t wait for the day when i can post something similar to you 🙂 Congrats x

Thanks for the congratulations! I am just constantly adding to my "to do" list and not really getting things crossed off very quickly today!
I made time to go shopping for new towels for our guest bath today (we are having guests for the first few weekends after the move so it is actually a big deal to get that set up).
There are so many little errands that pop up … I need to have my car serviced and my exit interview at work tomorrow, thursday is my work going away party (its a secret … but I am supposed to dress up and be ready to go at 5:30 and not get home till the wee hours of the morning), I need to get a printout of my immunization records for my new job, not to mention I haven’t cancelled my cable, tenants insurance, and utilities at my old place and haven’t changed any addresses yet – luckily Canada post will re-direct your mail for 6 months for only $40
I still have 9 days before the move (but only 4 days here at home to deal with the "in-town stuff") … the next week I need to be in the new city for the week for walk-through, new hospital orientation, and possession date … eeep!

EEK! 8 days till the move (but I need to have my house packed this sunday) … so I have 4 days to pack my house, having a rocking going away party, and get ready to go to the new city for walk-through and possession day.
The pets are definitely a little on edge and clingy lately … I think watching everything going into boxes is a little unnerving for them.
