I went to a wedding that had several stations, one of them being a stir fried lo-mein station: you pick the ingredients and the sauce, the chef cooks it up and serves it in a take-out container with chopsticks.  The guests all thought it was the coolest thing.

Sounds delicious, but remember that a lot of the ingredients for pad thai can be rather… odiferous… before they’re cooked into the final dish. Fish sauce is NOT a smell one generally associates with weddings. 😉

This sounds like an incredible idea!  When I lived in Thailand for a few months I went to a few parties that had pad thai and som tom (green papaya salad) stations–always a great hit!  The take out boxes and chopsticks sound like a great idea.  It would also be nice to have the traditional Thai condiments out so that guests can doctor up their own: Chinese chives, vinegar with chilies, fish sauce with chilies, powdered chilis, etc.
