Look good!
We are going to do these too. Can you tell me what size paper you used?
I used 8.5x11 premium paper (cardstock) from Staples and then used word to format it.
In word, I inserted a rectangle shape that was a bit smaller than the cardstock so after printing I would have a cutting guide and then used a corner rounder punch to finish it off.
To make sure the stick stayed in place I taped it to one side and then with spray inhesive I attached the other piece of cardstock.
It was very easy to do - I used this website for inspiration they have different templates as well
THESE ARE FROM A YEAR FROM NOW?!?!?! Way to be on the ball! My wedding is in 8 weeks, and I am scared to start the programs because I'm not sure that I have all the info!! Go you!
You should take the drop shadow off of the C in the background, it makes the text hard to read when the text passes where the C is. It's a tiny bit distracting. And take out some of the spacing between your names and the and, and give yourself a little more space above the first line and below the last line of text so you're not cutting it so close. It will make the program seem less crowded and easier on the eyes.
That's just me being a crazy typesetter though, they're just my thoughts, you can take them or leave them! Great job on putting these together!
What size sticks did you use? I looked at Michael's and only found regular popsicle sticks that don't seem like they would be sturdy enough. Thanks!!!
llaurra - I don't have all the info I need but I wanted to know how easy or hard it will be to do - that's why it's on green cardstock; it was what I had on hand. I had to make the pink darker b/c it didn't show well on the green but I think I'm going to use a pale pink cardstock for the final version so the C in the background won't be as dark then.
roger2jm - I found the craft sticks at the dollar store they are called jumbo craft sticks the website I linked above has a link to stores on amazon.com that have paddle sticks or jumbo sticks. I've also read somewhere here on the hive that someone used paint mixers they took from a home depot/lowe's and just painted them white.
Hmmm I may be making a trip to the Dollar Store today! I really need to get mine done!
